  • Readers Are Leaders
Readers Are Leaders is the same as our weekly lunchtime program except elementary school students are matched with middle and high school students, and older elementary school students. Our brand new program started at the beginning of February, Vistamar School in El Segundo is now reading with students from Juan Cabrillo Elementary School in the Wiseburn School District! Congratulations on the successful beginning of this NEW program!

  • New Reading Partners
EVERYBODY WINS! Los Angeles is pleased to announce a partnership with the Los Angeles Mayor's office. This partnership will assist LA Unified schools involved by improving literacy skills, as well as other skills such as self-esteem through mentoring partnerships between volunteers from local businesses and children. EVERYBODY WINS! Los Angeles is excited to partner with the Mayor and will update the community when school programs begin.
Another exciting opportunity will begin soon with Loyola Marymount University. LMU has joined with EW!LA through an existing program run by the Psychology and Education departments. Schools will be opening programs with EW!LA soon and volunteers from local corporations will be needed. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
